Our Services

Our prenatal visits are 45-60 minutes long. During that time, we discuss upcoming milestones, testing options, emotional and physical health including nutrition, birth class and doula recomendations, preparation for labor, birth and postpartum and answer any questions you may have. The last 10-15 minutes are dedicated to vitals, fetal heart tones, fundal measurement and baby's position.

We love to communicate with you throughout your whole labor. When it comes time for the midwives to arrive at your home, we will monitor vital signs, baby position and fetal heart tones as needed. We assist with coping measures including hydrotherapy, eating and drinking, and facilitate movement and position changes as desired. Delayed cord clamping and Golden Hour bonding are standard for our practice. If desired we will assist with basic latch and lactation assistance.

We believe lab testing should be available to all clients if desired, so we've included the standard prenatal labs into our global fee.  All prenatal testing is optional.  Ultrasounds are referred out to a third party and thus not included. This standard prenatal testing includes:

OB Panel:

• Blood Typing and Rh Factor​

• Complete Blood Count

• Rubella, HIV, Hep B and RPR

• Antibody Screen

• Hemoglobin A1c​

Glucose Screen:

• 1 hour glucose tolerance screen

• Complete Blood Count

Third Trimester Labs:

• Group Beta Strep Swab

• Complete Blood Count

You will have 4-5 postpartum visits where we will monitor vital signs, check in on hydration, nutrition and rest for our clients, and well baby checks, with lactation and latch assistance if needed. These visits start at 24-48 hours, 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks postpartum.

Newborn testing offered:

• Newborn Screening at 24-48 hour visit

• CCHD (Critical Congenital Heart Disease) Screening at 24-48 hour visit

• Newborn Hearing Screen at 2 week visit
